Lineage Piece Torch Locations: Light Up 5 Torches (Obs Haki)

The Torch Step

“Light up 5 torches” is Step 3 of the Observation Haki questline (full quest walkthrough). After defeating 40 World Bosses you return to Sogeking on Deeproot Jungle, and the hunt begins. Lighting the fifth torch automatically awards the Observation Haki Book — an untradeable, one-time quest item.

Where to Look

The five torches hide around Deeproot Jungle, the interconnected tree-island cluster. They are unlit stands you interact with, placed to make you cover the whole island:

• The main village platform — near the merchant cluster (Dual Katana / Gryphon NPCs).
• Along the suspension bridges — check the anchor points where bridges meet landmasses.
• The giant tree roots — ground level, tucked into root hollows and behind mushrooms.
• The island edges — at least one torch sits near a cliff-edge overlook.
• Near Sogeking himself — do not overlook the quest-giver’s own platform.

Interact with each stand to light it; a counter tracks your progress. The torches are per-player quest objects, so other players cannot “use up” your torches.

If a Torch Won’t Light

Make sure you are on the torch step (step 3) — the stands stay inert until the 40 World Bosses are done and you have re-talked to Sogeking. After the book drops, hand it in and pay 2.5M Yen to finish unlocking Observation Haki and its 10 dodges.
