Why You Need Crowbars

Cid in Dawnwind Village (150K coins & 600 gems to start) runs a two-part quest: find 2 Crowbars and take 5M damage. The reward — the Stylish Bandit Slayer blade — is a required item for the endgame Shadow questline (Quest 1: obtain it; Quest 2: kill 100 bandits with it), so every player ends up on this hunt.

Where Crowbars Are

Crowbars are ground pickups in Dawnwind Village, the starter island. They appear as small interactable tools around the village structures rather than mob drops. Sweep these zones:

• Around the village houses and market stalls — check behind and between buildings, not just the paths.
• Along the fortress walls — the perimeter that rings the town, including the gatehouse area.
• The windmill area — props cluster around the farm structures.
• The docks/coast line — spawn points rotate, so walk the shoreline if the town is picked clean.

Spawns are shared across the server — on busy servers, hop to a fresh or private server and both crowbars come quickly.

After the Quest

Completing Cid’s questline also flips a drop table: Cid’s Keys start dropping from Dawnwind Village bandits (0.5%), which open Cid’s Castle. The 5M-damage half of the quest is fastest tanked against low-level mobs where you can stand in a crowd safely.
