How to Get the Sword Technique Book in Lineage Piece

The Drop

The Sword Technique Book is a Mythical-rarity material that drops from Sword Bosses at 1% — with one notable exception: the Sung Jin Woo boss drops it at 3%, triple the standard rate, and Saber drops it at 1%.

What It Unlocks

Two Legendary weapons each consume one book at their NPC:

• Player’s Dagger (Sung Jin Woo NPC): 1 book + 5 System Cores + 1 Venom Fang + 1 Knight Killer + 1M coins & 7.5K gems.
• Excalibur (Saber NPC): 1 book + 1 Avalon + 5 Goblets + 650K coins & 3.5K gems.

Both weapons matter beyond their own damage: Player’s Dagger is a hard prerequisite for the endgame Shadow Daggers questline.

Farming Route

Farm Sung Jin Woo. He spawns every 90 seconds of server time, has 4.5M HP (fast kill for mid-game builds), and the 3% rate beats any alternative. At 3% per kill, the median farm is ~23 kills — call it under an hour of rotations, less with luck buffs (drop rates scale with your luck since the Solemn Lament patch).

While farming you will also bank his other drops — System Cores (13.5%), Venom Fangs and Knight Killers (3.5% each) — which are the rest of the Player’s Dagger recipe. The book is usually the last piece to land.
